Academic Seminar "The phenomenon of shamanic trance and altered states of consciousness (ASC) in the context of psychoanalytic cultural studies and transpersonal psychology"
April 03, 2015 Academic Seminar of Ratko Relich (PhD Cultural Studies, Croatia) "The phenomenon of shamanic trance and altered states of consciousness (ASC) in the context of psychoanalytic cultural studies and transpersonal psychology" was held as part of Sholokhov University Russian Institute for Advanced Study in Humanities and Technology (RIAS) international scientific program. The Seminar covered the issues of altered states of consciousness (ASC) in science.
At the Seminar, both theoretical and practical issues in studies of altered state of consciousness (ASC) were discussed. Also, the challenges of current state and development prospects of psychoanalytic cultural studies, para-psychological anthropology and transpersonal psychology in the altered states of consciousness (ASC) were highlighted.
The Seminar was attended by leading Russian researchers:
Kharitonova Valentina, Doctor of Historical Sciences, chief researcher of medical anthropology group Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology RAS, member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies field commission, California, USA.
Toropova Alla, Doctor of Education, Professor of methodology and methods of teaching music Department and of Developmental Psychology Department Moscow State Pedagogical University, Head of Research and Education Center "Psychology of Art in the Educational Environment."
Yermolaev Viktor, Deputy Director Institute of Psychology and Human Resource Management, Head of General Psychology, Developmental Psychology Department, Ph.D. Sholokhov University.
