Professor, Dr. Alain SUPIO
Doctor of Law (Bordeaux, 1979), Law Faculty degree of agrege` holder (1980), a member of the University Institute of France (Law Dogma and Social Ties Department, 2001), Honorary Doctor of the University of Leuven.
He also served as Professor at the University of Poitiers and Nantes (UMR-CNRS 6028 laboratories), later was elected Professor of the Institute "Collège de France" at Social State and Globalization: the Legal Analysis of Solidarity department in 2012. The department was opened with his inaugural lecture November 29, 2012.
In 1995 Alain Supio founded Ange Gepen House of Human Sciences at the University of Nantes. The House research subject is the interdisciplinary approach to social relations (www.msh.univ-nantes.fr ). From 1998 to 2001 he headed the National Council of France for the development of social sciences and humanities (which is the main issue of his book "On the Politics of the Humanities and Social Sciences”, published in Kvadrizh, 2001).
In 2008 Mr. Alain Supio founded and headed the Institute of Advanced Studies of Nantes (http://www.iea-nantes.fr/fr).
During his career path, he worked for several years abroad: Institute of Industrial Relations, Berkeley, 1981; the European Institute of Florence University, 1989-1990; College of research in Berlin, 1997-1998.
Mr. Alain Supio`s research works are devoted to issues of labor law and social security, as well as to the analysis of the dogmatic foundations of social relations (see his latest work "The Spirit of Philadelphia. Social justice in the general market", Paris, Publisher Say, 2010).
