Filipiak Izabela

Filipiak Izabela

Izabela Filipiak, an author of several books of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, a former ISEES Visiting Scholar and BBRG Affiliated Scholar at the University of California-Berkeley, as well as a Yaddo artist-in-residence, teaches in the English Department at Gdansk University, Poland. Holding degrees from Mills College, Gdansk University, and Polish Academy of Sciences, she is a Kosciuszko Foundation and Iowa International Writers’ Workshop fellow, as well as the recipient of numerous Polish Ministry of Culture awards. Her most recent publications include Philomela’s Sister: Debt and Its Literary Associations (Peter Lang, 2013).
