November 28, 2014 Sholokhov University hosted Interdisciplinary Expert Workshop by Dmitry V. Chizhov "Modern Political Communication Technologies". The Workshop covered the issues of Internet communications of Russian political parties.
The Expert Workshop was attended by representatives of leading Russian political parties - the party leaders and coordinators of Internet projects, political advisers and political strategists who specialize in consulting parties and in Internet communications, experts from the professional and scientific community, bloggers, political journalists and other participants of the political communication activities.
At the Expert Workshop there were discussed the specifics and tools of internet communications of Russian political parties, the spectrum of party Internet projects, the degree of effectiveness of political communications of Russian parties in the Internet space.
During the talks, practitioners from the parties and political consultants analyzed the Russian political parties` Internet-projects which had been put to practice as well as those operating, assessed the degree of effectiveness of political Internet communication and identified the prospects of this direction of political technologies.
One of the areas of discussion there was the analysis of the effectiveness of Internet communication tools of political parties used for fulfillment of one of its main functions - to be the translator of interests, demands and requests from civil society to the state, and transforming them through political institutions and procedures into the form of political decisions.
